About Scott Goddard

Scott Goddard is a lifelong resident of Crow Wing County. Growing up in Jenkins Township, Scott attended school in the Pequot Lakes School District. Scott worked at Arvig/ TDS telephone company while earning his law enforcement degree with Northland Community College.   Scott became interested in law enforcement while in high school and has dedicated his professional career to serving the people of Crow Wing County.

Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office Experience

Scott Goddard is the Captain with the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office. Scott is responsible for all daily operations including: patrol, investigations, dispatch, civil process, transports, court security, boat & water, bomb team, volunteer dive and mounted patrol teams and departmental training.


Scott has 12 years of supervisor experience  with the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office.  This includes:

  • Patrol Sergeant- Dispatch, Court Security, Transports, Civil Process and the Boat and Water Divisions
  • Patrol Lieutenant- Dispatch and Patrol Divisions functions
  • Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team Co-Commander 
  • Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team Assistant Team Leader 
  • Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team Operator

Scott has focused his continued education on the needs of the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and our community.  This education includes:
